Technology in our Company

We like to see ourselves as the doctors of soil and water. Planters, including smallholders, apply our proprietary and patented bio-essential microbial consortia to rejuvenate, restore and regenerate soil health.

What is AGN

What is AGN made from?

AGN is a patented biofertilizer comprised of 4 proprietary species of microbes and humic acid

Supports plant growth

Enhances nutritional metabolism and food value of vegetables

Nonribosomal synthesis of antibiotics, siderophores (iron scavengers) and bacteriocins (toxins that inhibit growth of similar bacteria)

B. subtilis

Anaerobic nitrate ammonification using nitrite or nitrate as terminal electron acceptor

Degrades polymers such as protein, starch, and pectin

Important in carbon and nitrogen cycle

B. megaterium

Powerful plant hormone producer that enables plants to tolerate salt, heavy metals, and polyaromatic hydrocarbons

Nitrogen fixing bacteria converts nitrogen to ammonia

Rhizobacteria (enhance plant growth after root colonization)

AGN

Cisbay’s Patented & Proprietary Microbes

AGN® was first developed in 2014 with the goal of restoring soil fertility to improve yield to meet the mismatch between declining food production and a fast-growing global population, and to reduce the over dependence on harmful agrochemicals such as synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and their harmful impact on the ecosystem as well as on the growers who deploy them.

The product is a patented formulation of proprietary and unique microbial consortia mixed with 100% water-soluble humic acid granules to improve soil health and sustainability. This non-GMO advanced biological soil amendment is manufactured under United States Environment Protection Agency (EPA) standards and verified to comply with the USDA National Organic Standards. AGN delivers highly concentrated beneficial microbes and complex humic acid molecules to create a balanced solution for soil application.

How it works

How does AGN work?

These proprietary microbes grow in the rhizosphere, confer biotic and abiotic stress tolerance to plants induced by systemic resistance, biofilm formation and lipopeptide products. Besides solubilizing phosphorus, AGN is also a biobactericide and biofungicide. The formulation is specific for these isolates to ensure that they complement and not compete.
